Book of Time V
Parsley forced him back,
moving his duel away from
the stones and their graves.
The elfin knight laughed at him,
"When will you go for the kill?"
Parsley answered him,
"It is not my place to kill,
only to protect.
Your actions were desecrating
the graves that have earned their peace."
The elfin knight said,
"If there is peace in the grave,
then lay down your sword.
Accept the weight of your crimes,
son of the cursed time walkers!"
Parsley stared at him
while the sound of ignition
preceded a voice.
Sage hollered from the window,
"Leave him, Parsley! There's no time!"
The Knight's smirk vanished.
He hurled his sword at the cars,
and Rose spun her wheel.
The elven blade pierced straight through
Delaney's DeLorean.
A blinding light flashed,
bringing Parsley to his knees
and light to his blade.
The elfin knight recognized
its craftsmanship, "Elven steel?
How did you steal this
unless you have walked our realm?
A human, no less."
Stealing the blade from the grass,
he aimed to cut down Parsley.
Then, Ty interfered,
shielding Parsley from the strike
and bearing its cost.
Removing the sword with haste,
the elfin knight lunged again.
