Book of Time XIII

North of Ravenscar,
an allotment of gardens
divide into three becks.
The elfin knight chose King's Beck
as his victorious hill.

Mary and Parsley
easily tracked his movements
through local papers.
There were no elves in England,
and the knight did not lay low.

Rose drove the trio,
passing by Robin Hood's Bay.
"What's the plan?" she asked.
Silence filled the vehicle
until Ty said, "Bring them home."

At Caravan Park,
Parsley, Mary, and Ty traced
the elfin knight's steps.
Rose refused to stay behind,
and they found the knight waiting.

He spoke to Parsley,
"You think time is infinite?
I await your blade."
Ty said, "We don't want to fight.
Just bring his family back."

The elfin knight spoke,
"The one who wears this armor
marked with my sigil
can harness the flow of time.
They must possess elven steel."

The knight stood up straight,
his blade shimmering with rage.
"You don't deserve this!"
He stabbed Parsley in the chest,
but could not tear the cambric.

The blade fell. His hands
were quickly bound in heather,
for Mary tied them.
With a leather sickle sheath,
Ty knocked the elfin knight out.
