Book of Time XV
Parsley chased a light
that appeared to pass through him
straight into the woods.
Its warmth was familiar
like that of his sister, Sage.
Mary and Ty’s voice
faded out of time and space
as the forest changed.
He saw the apparition
pass through a suit of armor.
Then the hollow knight,
fixated on Parsley’s sword,
approached him slowly.
Parsley said, “I don’t have time
to entertain you right now!”
Another light ghost
in the image of a man
stood before Parsley.
Parsley recognized him, “Dad?”
But the ghost did not respond.
The young William
cut the knight down with one slice,
clearing Parsley’s path.
As Parsley passed through the ghosts,
he became donned in armor.
The armor was light
and it did not weigh him down.
Parsley made great haste.
Chasing a faint glow ahead,
he found the DeLorean.
Still split in two halves,
Sage on the left, his parents
standing on the right.
An elf called out to Parsley,
“Throw your blade over to me!”
The light grew stronger,
obstructing Parsley’s vision.
He said, “I can’t see!
Who are you, and where are we?”
Elvie said, “Not where, but when.”
