Book of Time XVIII
Realm in between time—
a field of Beech Mountain grass
surrounded by light.
Parsley threw Elvie his sword
and his armor disappeared.
The DeLorean
receiving a reversal
of its torn up fate,
uniting in the middle
where the Elfin Knight split it.
Parsley asked Elvie,
“These light projections are real?”
Elvie said, “They’re real,
and they are repairing time.”
Parsley asked, “What do you mean?”
Elvie sheathed her blade,
“You and I share ancestry.
We’re walkers of time.
I was the first elf to walk,
the Elfin Knight followed me.
He was not meant to.
Using dark technology,
he spread pure chaos.
He tried to build an army.”
Parsley said, “Those hollow knights.”
Elvie said, “They marched
through the forbidden realm where
your people survive.
The Elfin Knight is dying.
He is running out of time.”
Parsley said to her,
“What is he trying to do?”
She said, “Destroy time.
He felt we had betrayed him,
but we tried to protect him.”
Walking through the field,
Elvie guided Parsley to
the DeLorean.
Opening the door for him,
she said, “You can still save her.”
