Book of Don XI

The cameras rolled
while Don distracted the vans
outside Rose's house.
He played his water drum for
the dancing Scarborians.

For hundreds of years,
the sound of this water drum
remained a legend
passed over the Atlantic
from North American tribes.

Inside Rose's walls,
every local news channel
showed Don's performance.
Parsley stood by the window,
"Don can really work a crowd!"

Rose scolded the youth,
"Why would you bring chaos here?"
Ty apologized,
"Forgive me Rose. The Burgess
kept slaves within their estate.

I went to free them
and got their knights on my trail."
Sage helped two captives
who refused to speak a word.
"Please, help yourself to some food."

Mary said to Ty,
"I recognize their garments,
it's tribal fabric."
Ty asked, "What tribe are they from?
Certainly not one I know."

Rose shouted, "Mary,
The knights of Burgess are here!"
Ty gasped at the screen.
Mary said, "Don's in danger."
Rose moved to block the front door.

She said to Mary,
"I will not let you get hurt."
Ty said, "I will go.
Those knights are here to kill me."
Parsley picked up his broadsword.
