Book of Time IX

Time running out still,
to Scarborough hospital
they admitted Ty.
The nurses recognized them
asking, "Is that the princess?"

Beginning treatment,
Parsley, Mary, and Rose sat
in the waiting room.
Parsley said, "I can't reach Sage
or my parents. Where are they?"

Mary grabbed his hand,
"It's okay. We will find them."
His shoulders relaxed,
but he could not take a seat.
Rose said, "That elf attacked us,

but for what reason?
I thought the elves were our friends."
Parsley tried to think,
"He called me a time-walker,
like it was some kind of curse."

Mary said to him,
"If he knows you travel time
without meeting you,
he could be an exile.
Rose said, "He's our problem now."

The doctor found them,
"Are you guardians of Thyme?"
Rose said, "That's their name?
Please, just tell me they’re okay."
The doctor said, "Come and see."

Entering the room,
friendly faces greeted them.
Mary knew the nurse,
Sona, from the elven realm.
"Rose, it's so good to see you."

Rose managed a smile,
"Nice to be back in England,
how is Ty doing?"
Sona said, "They're healing now,
thanks to elven medicine."
